THE WORLD SAYS...

NOBODY is sure of anything in regards to any kind of afterlife. There is no way to know for certain, is there? When you're dead you cease to exist in this world so how can we possibly know that there is anything beyond until we've already died? Those who claim there is no life after death have the same amount of proof as the ones who claim there IS life after death. A 2,000 year old mythological book is not proof of anything except the fact that 2,000 years ago some people wrote a book.  Some believers tend to point to near death experiences as "proof" of an afterlife, but there is so much proof against it so it is not a viable piece of evidence in support of an afterlife.  So let us eat, drink, and simply enjoy life now, because tomorrow we may die.

THE BIBLE SAYS...

Jesus is MY HOPE.  There are many reasons why believers believe the Bible is much more than just an “old mythological book,” but actually the inspired writing of the one true God.  The Bible focuses on the need for God to do something about our sin and wickedness, and that focus is on God’s promise to come as a Savior for sin, Jesus Christ.  As you read through the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), these witnesses focus on the life and death of Jesus – and how He stated He had come to forgive the world its sins (John 3:16-19), defeat the devil (1 John 3:8), and give the gift of eternal life (John 17:1-3).  The sure hope we have of life after death is in Jesus Christ, the true Son of God, who was witnessed by angels (Matthew 28:6-7) and by over 500 people (1 Corinthians 15:6) that He had indeed risen from the dead.  People who trust that God wrote the Bible, believe the Words recorded there are meant to give us a sure and confident hope of our eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus is my hope, just as He promised…

"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” (John 11:25-26).
